Takeaways:

  • Researchers say we are living in a fun drought. According to research, 97 percent of people wish they had more fun. For adults, 60 percent feel their life is too grown up and 73 percent miss aspects of childhood.

  • According to Dr. Emma Seppälä, (Sefa la) a Stanford University expert on the science of happiness, emotional intelligence, and social connection, injecting small, incremental amounts of fun into your daily life reduces stress. She says, “If we focus on boosting fun and happiness in our lives, even in little ways, research suggests we can end up more productive, charismatic, energetic and innovative.”

  • Fun is good for our relationships.

  • Fun is good for our sleep & stress.

  • We have to plan for fun.

  • Try something you used to love.
