Takeaways:
Rejection has a way of searing something into permanency.
Your worthiness doesn’t change in the face of rejection.
Because rejection questions our worthiness, it has the power to shape our identity. We no longer believe we are worthy of love or belonging simply because we are human. We start to believe that we have to hustle for that type of love and acceptance.
You are enough.
No matter what you have done or what someone else has said about you, you are enough. You have value apart from anything external. You have value because you exist. You don’t have to walk into the room and look around for acceptance. You don’t have to get the big deal in order to confirm your value.
Discussion Questions:
What are your scars from rejection?
What message did you hear of rejection that seared into your heart?
What limiting beliefs or negative phrases do you hear in your head now from it?
In what ways do you believe that your worth is tied to your performance?
What can you do today to retrain the voice in your head?
