Episode 57: Wynter Pitts
Wynter Pitts joins me for Episode 57. She is the founder of For Girls Like You which is a resource ministry to tween girls and their parents. She produces some really amazing resources and can't wait for my oldest girl to get them.
Since Wynter is a mom of 4 girls, we have a conversation about motherhood. We talk about how God changed her perspective on being a mom, how to know when your child is ready for social media and how to foster the relationship between your daughters. I really, really enjoyed my time with her and I know you will, too. So pull up a chair to my kitchen table and join the conversation.
I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Wynter. I loved every bit of it. I especially loved hearing that @@it is possible for God to change your perspective about your children@@. I am truly honest when I say that motherhood isn't my favorite role. Doesn't mean I don't love my children, but it's just difficult. Ever since my conversation with Wynter, I have been asking God to give me the desires of my heart--to make my desires His desires towards my children. She said, @@"God's word will react in our lives."@@ Praying for God to react in my heart.

Takeaways From Our Conversation:
- The social world is not going away. You need to think through how you are going to help them learn how to handle it. Teach them how to be responsible in this new world. "We would rather be the ones to break their innocence here in our room with God's word as our foundation."
- @@How to build a relationship with your child in the tween phase@@: Do what you can to be apart of her world; be willing to let her know that who she is is okay.
- @@How to foster sister relationships@@: Pray hard for their relationship and model what it looks like to be kind and to love. @@People matter more than things@@. @@Sisters are best friends for free@@.
- I pray that God will have His way with my daughters and that He will give her heart that says YES to Him.

Here is a recent one from AJ in VA: "I have recently discovered the podcast and have enjoyed listening to all the episodes and learning about the different guests while at work (desktop on the computer all day. I listen to the show via ipod). It has given me a faith boost by the 'hanging with the girlfriends' atmosphere that makes me feel like I am a part of the conversation. Keep up the good work, looking forward to future episodes."
