Episode 28: Shannon Scott
Shannon Scott joins me at my kitchen table for Episode 28. Shannon is a worship leader, teacher, writer and director of student life at her kids' school. She's been married to Jeff for 17 years and they have three kids ages 11-14.
I met Shannon years and years ago. She and Jeff were actually my landlords back in my single days. We ran into each other this past spring and after chatting for a bit I knew I wanted her to be on the show. We talk about how she grew up in a legalistic culture, how that programmed her view of God and how she is learning to survive shame.

I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Shannon. It honestly felt like a counseling session to me. I took so many notes when I went back through and listened. The part of our conversation around shame was really insightful. I am going to really think about what my triggers for shame are. I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject. Come join the conversation over on InstagramFacebook, Twitter or through direct email.
Shannon has an event that will be all about celebrating freedom in Christ on September 10 in Atlanta, GA. She and friend of the show, Sandra Stanley, will be speaking. You can check it out here.
