Episode 305: Retha Nichole
I am so happy to welcome my friend, Retha Nichole, back to the podcast. She is no stranger to the show. She was on episodes 74 and 255. She and I go way back and found each other when we were both starting out as podcasters.
Retha’s expertise includes real estate, small business operations as well as helping small business companies figure out how to include diversity and inclusion in their business. She really comes alongside the client to help them find their authentic self. She is a sought after speaker, trainer and executive coach with a unique perspective on various issues and challenges facing the professional woman.
This is exactly why I had her on the show today. We dive into what to do when you feel stuck—whether that is in business or life. She packs so much wisdom and clarity into this short conversation. I took many notes while chatting and I think you will too. So pull up a chair and join the conversation.

Takeaways:
Sometimes we are stuck in the weeds or stuck in the air. Either way, we just need a plan. We need to take one step.
Small steps are better than no steps
When you ask better questions, you get better information
Ask a lot of questions about where to start to determine your next step
If you have trouble starting, do the hardest thing first—the thing that you are dreading to do
When you’re looking for clarity, willpower, motivation and you aren’t finding it. ask yourself: when was the last time i had rest.
When you find yourself overwhelmed or frustrated, take a minute and ask yourself: whats the rush?
If you struggle to rest, set a timer for 10 minutes every day and just sit there
Sunday planning
what to wear (your mental health is better when you get dressed at least 3 days a week)
what to eat (meal plan - meat, side, veggie)
what we are doing (calendar)
what’s the social plan (for business)
what’s for fun

I have broadened by reading based on the people she has on the show. I have also gained resources to share with friends. Give her a listen! You will not regret it!!”
